Every year as a child, we always ironed leaves between wax paper. Now, my children ask if it is time to do this craft, as soon as the weather starts to cool.

ReplyDeleteGrowing up in a Leaf Season state, my favorite memories are of raking huge piles of leaves to jump in. Now living in the South, nothing compares to the crackling leaves, the scents, and the crisp air of Autumn.
ReplyDeleteOh how I miss autumn. Living in Arizona has its downsides, for sure! My favorite autumn memories are definitely watching the leaves change color, crunching through them on my way to the bus stop, and crisp autumn mornings.

ReplyDeleteLiked both of the pages. Raking leaves and, as environmentally unfriendly as this may sound, the smell of the leaves burning. That is just what everyone did back then. Jumping forward to raising my kids, the fall nature table was a favorite of mine. And making leaf pictures. Thank you for the giveaway!!!

My favorite memory is making garbage cans out of old Baskin Robbins ice cream containers. We would collect leaves, glue them on, then cover it with tacky paper. They were gorgeous and a great way to spend quality time with my mom!

My memory is of livng on our 100 acre farm. There were 3 families. Me and my mom, my grandparents and my uncles family. We all lived in separate houses, but we all came together to work the land and be sustainable. It was a working farm in Kentucky, so we harvested tobacco, which by now would be put up in the barn. But then there were all the other things to put up, or can. By now our stores and pantries would be overfilling with all colors of the rainbow food. I loved going in the hay barns, and walking through the woods near the small creek. I would always speak rhymes and poetry to the fairy people that lived there.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite childhood memory is going to the pumpkin patch with my cousins. We always had so much fun, lots of picture taking, and we spent the whole evening after with pizza and carving our pumpkins.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite childhood memories about the Autumn are all linked to time spent with my granny - I remember sitting beside her while she was knitting and telling me the stories, while the fire was cracking in the wood stove. I also remember "helping" her while she was making plum jam and other yummies she used to make...
